Green Manure
Green manure is a general term for plants that you can add to a bed to keep weeds at bay in those times where planting beds are not in use for other crops. They are also very good in adding organic matter and nutrients to the soil as green manures mature, die and rot down in the soil.
How To Grow
Broadcast seeds all over the bed and gently rake over soil to cover seeds.
How/When To Harvesting
Once the plants have done their job, cut down and either leave on the soil as a mulch or dig in.
