Rocket or Arugula is an easy to grow, hardy salad leaf, producing a good crop of peppery leaves.
Rocket will grow in any reasonable, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade. Sow thinly in a straight line. Once the seedlings are large enough, thin out to 23-30cm apart. Keep the area weed free and the soil moist.
Harvest as a cut-and-come-again crop, pick off along the row as soon as the leaves are large enough and leave the plants to grow on and produce pickings for weeks.
